The health and safety of
our employees is of paramount concern at Regent.
Health & Safety and Training are fundamental to a
successful service provider. Regent Cleaning carries out regular health and
safety training for all employees.
We conduct Health and Safety audits on every site our employees work on, every
quarter. We adhere to the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
Regulations 1999 and Approved Code of Practice (ACOP).
Our investment in equipment tracking technology ensures that our in-service
inspection and testing of electrical equipment meets Portable Appliance Testing
(PAT) requirements.
We recognise that a professional cleaner is a trained cleaner. Regent provides
formal management and supervisory training as well as technical skills training
for all its operatives at our dedicated Training Academy in Coventry.
All cleaning staff are trained in the use of equipment materials and cleaning
techniques, as well as safe working practices. All Contract Managers will have
usually been trained to British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICS) Level 1.
Our training is regularly monitored and evaluated to ensure that it not only
complies with a quality standard but meets its purpose.
Regent Cleaning is registered to the Contractors Health and Safety (CHAS)
Assessment Scheme and is a Safe Contractor (the contractor
accreditation scheme for business).
We also hold both RoSPA Bronze and
Silver Awards in recognition of our commitment to accident and ill
health prevention as well as our health and safety management systems.
Our General Safety Policy and comprehensive Health and Safety Manual,
both of which are readily available at all our offices and all of our sites, set
out clearly our beliefs and aims.
